About HyImpulse

Our Vision

HyImpulse aims to make access to space and in-orbit mobility economically and environmentally sustainable and lower the barriers for everyone to use the Low-Earth-Orbit as the industry zone of the 21st century.

Our Mission

HyImpulse's mission is to open access to space by delivering affordable, reliable launch and in-space services. Powered by our safe, low-cost paraffin-based hybrid propulsion, we enable customers to reach any low-Earth orbit and eliminate barriers such as high costs, long waits, and limited availability. By combining launch, satellite-as-a-service, and space-data-as-a-service, HyImpulse is committed to democratizing space and empowering broader use of space-based capabilities.

Our Core Values

At HyImpulse, our values guide every step we take towards revolutionizing access to space. They define how we innovate, collaborate, and deliver solutions that are safe, sustainable, and future-oriented.

Excellence

We are committed to the highest standards in engineering and execution, ensuring reliable performance and trusted partnerships across every mission.

Innovation

We push boundaries with breakthrough hybrid propulsion technology, pioneering safer fuels and advanced systems that open new possibilities for space access.

Sustainability

Our mission is to revolutionize access to space by making it both affordable and environmentally sustainable.
We are aiming to dismantle the current barriers of high costs and long waiting times, and turn Low-Earth-Orbit into the premier industrial hub of the 21st century.

Our Story

2006

Start of the basic research on a disruptive technology: hybrid rocket engine with paraffin as propellant.

2016

Our successful suborbital flight became student world record for hybrid & liquid rockets, the 1st launch ever made possible with paraffin, using nitrous oxide as oxidizer.

2018

HyImpulse was founded to strengthen Europe’s access to space through independent launch capability.

2024

Suborbital Rocket SR75 successfully launched with 75kN motor based on paraffin and LOX, enabling orbital reach.
